- What is llms.txt?
- A plain-text file at the root of your site that gives AI assistants a short map of it: who you are, and your key pages with a line on each. It is a proposed standard from llmstxt.org, and adoption by AI engines is still early.
- How is the draft made?
- We read your sitemap and the pages your homepage links to, skip pages you keep out of search and steps like thank-you pages, and take each page's title and description. Nothing is written by AI, so the draft is only as good as your titles and descriptions.
- What should I edit before publishing?
- The name and one-line summary at the top, and any description that reads like page text rather than a summary. Remove pages you would not want an assistant to recommend.
An llms.txt helps only if AI crawlers can reach your site at all. Check that with the AI crawler checker.
