Ahrefs Brand Radar Alternatives: 6 Tools Compared (2026)

If you're looking for Ahrefs Brand Radar alternatives, you probably like what Brand Radar does but not how the checks add up. I read the pricing pages of Brand Radar and six other tools on 25 September 2026, and compared them on price, prompts, AI engines and Google rankings.

Full disclosure: I make Presence Scout, one of the six, so I'm not neutral. Every figure comes from the vendor's own pricing page, linked below. Prices change, so check before you pay.

How Brand Radar is priced

Brand Radar works two ways:

• Custom Prompts track the buyer questions you write. Paid Ahrefs plans include 150 checks a month on Lite ($129), 300 on Standard ($249) and 600 on Advanced ($449). Packages with more checks start at $50 a month.
• The AI Visibility Index starts at $199 a month. It holds 449M prompts built from Ahrefs' keyword data, so you can look up any brand with no setup.

It covers ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, AI Overviews and AI Mode, plus Claude on custom prompts, and you can buy it without an SEO plan.

What Brand Radar gets right

• The index. Looking up any competitor's AI visibility instantly, with history back to 2025, is Brand Radar's strongest feature.
• Wide coverage. Seven platforms, including Claude and Copilot.
• You choose the cadence. Daily, weekly or monthly, per platform. Ahrefs' own Rank Tracker updates weekly on every plan, which I think is the sensible default.

Why people look elsewhere

On the pricing page, three things stood out:

1. Checks add up. One prompt on one platform in one location is one check, every update, and Claude uses 8. Ahrefs' own calculator shows the effect: on five platforms including Claude, Lite covers 3 prompts checked weekly but none daily, and Advanced covers 12 weekly or 1 daily. The $50 package adds 2,500 checks.
2. The index favours known brands. Ahrefs says it "may have limited coverage for brands with little or no search volume".
3. Rankings live in the SEO suite. Google keyword tracking comes with the Ahrefs plans, from $129 a month.

"Not listed" means the vendor's pricing page doesn't mention it.

1. Presence Scout

I built Presence Scout so you can see Google rankings and AI answers side by side at a small team's budget. Starter is $29 a month (₹2,499 in India) for up to 50 prompts on ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews and AI Mode, plus 100 Google keywords and three brands. Growth, at $99, adds Gemini, 200 prompts, 400 keywords and ten brands. There's also a free plan with 5 prompts and 10 keywords.

Checks run weekly, by design, so your allowance goes into covering more of your market instead of re-asking the same few prompts every day. Every check keeps the full answer and the sources the engine cited.

Where Brand Radar is ahead of us: the 449M-prompt index, Claude and Copilot, and the rest of the Ahrefs suite.

2. Rankscale

Rankscale's Pro plan is $99 a month for 1,200 credits. One query to one engine typically costs 0.25 credits, so that's up to 4,800 answers a month, across ten brand dashboards. You set each schedule anywhere from hourly to monthly, unused credits roll over, and there's a 7-day free trial. A smaller Essentials plan starts at $20. It's the closest to Brand Radar's pay-per-check model.

3. Writesonic

Writesonic's Starter plan is $99 a month, or $79 billed annually, for 50 prompts tracked daily on ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews. It also includes 15 AI-written articles and 10 site audits a month, so it suits you if you want tracking and content in one bill. Its full list of ten platforms is on Enterprise.

4. Otterly.AI

Otterly.AI's Lite plan is $29 a month for 15 prompts, checked daily, on ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot. Claude, AI Mode and Gemini are add-ons, from $9 each.

5. Peec AI

Peec AI's Starter plan is $95 a month for 50 prompts on three models you choose, checked daily, for one project. I'd send analytics-heavy teams here.

6. Scrunch

Scrunch's Core plan is $250 a month for 125 prompts on ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews and Copilot, for one brand and five users, with a 7-day free trial. It also shows AI bot traffic to your site. Claude, Gemini and AI Mode come with Enterprise.

Which one I'd pick, depending on you

• You already pay for Ahrefs? Use your included checks, weekly, then add a $50 package if you need more.
• You want Google rankings and AI visibility at a small-team price? Presence Scout. That's who I built it for.
• You want pay-per-check flexibility across many engines? Rankscale.
• You want AI articles alongside tracking? Writesonic.
• You want daily checks on a few prompts? Otterly.AI.
• You want to research any brand without setup? Stay with Brand Radar's index.
