Best Google AI Overviews Trackers: 6 Tools Compared (2026)

Google AI Overviews are the AI answers most people see first, because they sit on top of ordinary Google results. If you want to know whether they name or cite you, you need a tracker, and the choice is wider than it looks: rank trackers and AI visibility tools both cover them now. I read the pricing pages of six Google AI Overviews trackers and compared them.

Two ways to track AI Overviews

• From your keywords. Rank trackers check the keywords you already track and record whether an Overview appeared and cited you. Good if you think in keywords.
• From buyer questions. AI visibility tools ask the questions buyers type, which are longer and more specific. Good for seeing which brands the Overview recommends.

Most teams need both views, which is why I built Presence Scout to show them together.

What to look for

• The Overview itself. Does the tool store the text and the cited pages, or only a yes or no?
• AI Mode. Google's conversational mode answers differently; check it's covered.
• Location. Overviews differ by country, so the check should run in your market.

1. Presence Scout

Presence Scout tracks AI Overviews and AI Mode on every plan, including the free one with 5 prompts and 10 keywords. Starter is $29 a month (₹2,499 in India) for up to 50 prompts and 100 Google keywords, and your Google rankings sit next to the AI answers for the same topics. Every check keeps the full Overview and the pages it cited.

Checks run weekly, by design: the allowance goes into covering more of your keywords and questions instead of re-checking the same few every day.

2. Otterly.AI

Otterly.AI's Lite plan is $29 a month for 15 prompts, checked daily, on ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot. AI Mode is an add-on. It's the cheapest paid way to get daily Overview checks on a short list of questions.

3. ZipTie

ZipTie lets you build your own plan from engines, prompt count and cadence, with a starting preset from $42.75 a month. Its engines include Google AI Overviews, AI Mode and Bing's AI Overview, and its page says AI Overview checks also capture Google's top 10 organic results at no extra cost. There's a 7-day free trial with 25 daily prompts.

4. Nightwatch

Nightwatch's Starter plan is €79 a month billed yearly (€948): 500 keywords and 50 AI prompts tracked daily, across Google and AI platforms including AI Overview, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity. Seats are unlimited, and there's a 14-day free trial.

5. SE Ranking

SE Ranking's Core plan is $129 a month for 2,000 keywords and 100 prompts tracked daily. The AI Search add-on, $89 a month, adds its AI Results Tracker with 200 prompts across AI Overviews, AI Mode, Perplexity and ChatGPT.

6. Semrush

Semrush's SEO and AI Search Starter plan is $199 a month ($165.17 billed yearly) for 500 keywords and 50 prompts tracked daily. It's a full SEO suite, so if you already pay for one, start there.
