AI visibility
Choosing prompts to track
A prompt is a question a buyer would type into ChatGPT or Perplexity. The prompts you choose decide what your visibility score actually measures, so it is worth getting them right.
Adding prompts
- 1Open your brand and go to "Add prompts".
- 2Review the AI-generated suggestions: we read your website and propose the questions your buyers are likely to ask.
- 3Click "Suggest more" for another batch. Suggestions are free and never cost a credit.
- 4Write your own in the text box, one per line.
- 5Add tags to group related prompts (e.g. “pricing”, “comparison”) so you can filter the results later.
- 6Save. New prompts are checked straight away so results appear without another click.
What makes a good prompt
- Unbranded: ask “best crm for nonprofits”, not “is HubSpot good?”. Naming yourself guarantees a mention and tells you nothing. The whole point is finding out whether AI reaches for you unprompted.
- How buyers actually phrase it: natural questions, not keywords. Prompts are conversational.
- Spread across the funnel: category questions (“best X”), comparisons (“X vs Y”), and problem questions (“how do I …”).
- Realistic in volume: every prompt is checked on every enabled engine, so 10 prompts across 3 engines is 30 credits per run.
You can re-check a single prompt from its row. If it ran in the last 6 hours the row says so rather than doing nothing, and offers Re-check anyway if you want fresh results before the cooldown is up. Left alone, the cooldown means you are never charged twice for the same answer.
