Search rankings

Who outranks you on Google

The Search Competitors page ranks every domain that shows up in the Google results for your keywords, built from rank checks you have already run, so it costs nothing to open.

What the columns mean

  • Visibility: a weighted score based on how often and how highly the domain ranks across your keywords.
  • Avg. pos., its typical position, so you can tell a domain that ranks everywhere from one that ranks well on a handful.
  • Top 3 / Top 10: how many of your keywords it holds those positions for.
  • Outranks you: the number of your keywords where this domain sits above you. This is the column to sort your work by.
  • Keywords: how many of your tracked keywords it appears for at all.
Domains appear because Google returned them for your keywords, not because you listed them as competitors. That makes this the honest view of who you actually compete with in search.
